The weekend of the double winners

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Salzburgring (AUT)

At the 3rd round of the Drexler Formula Cup on the ultra-fast Salzburgring, there was a double victory in each of the four categories. In both races, Vladimir Netusil (Effective Racing) beat the competition with the more powerful Dallara and celebrated a commanding success. As expected, the Czech had dominated the qualifying and set the fastest time with 1:18.964 minutes. Stefan Fürtbauer (Franz Wöss Racing) fought bravely and once again showed his talent in Formula 3. For a long time he stayed within striking distance of Netusil in both races, who, however, was able to make up metres in every lap on the long uphill passage. In Formula 3, Fürtbauer scored his first double win this year, which should give the young Austrian a further boost.

Patrick Schober (Procar Motorsport) felt really good at the Salzburgring. He amazed with two flawless races and even placed ahead of his Formula Renault rivals in his Formula 4. The Formula Renault classification was dominated in the first race by Jorden Dolischka (Top Speed), who, however, ended up in the gravel trap at the exit of the paddock bend in the second race. The victory went to Dr.Norbert Groer (Team Hoffmann Racing), who finished behind Dolischka in the 1st race. In his first Formula Renault appearance this year, Robert Siska (Franz Wöss Racing) was rewarded with two podium places. Dr. Ralph Pütz (Franz Wöss Racing) won the Formula 3 Trophy classification. The brand new motorsport event format XLR8 celebrated a pulsating premiere at the Salzburgring and in the livestream. "With the four pillars of racing, mobility, gaming and entertainment, it was possible to serve and develop new target groups. In addition, something unique was created with the combination of car and motorbike races," summarised Rene Binna and Christoph Gerlach from the organiser BG Sportpromotion in unison. Next year there will definitely be a new edition at the Salzburgring.
