Last chance for Antoine Bottiroli and Andrea Cola

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Mugello (ITA)

The Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup comes to its fifth round after Mugello (July 19-21). After the English week with the races in Imola (ITA) and the Autodrom Most (CZE), Formula 3 will stop together with Formula Renault at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. At the ACI Racing Weekend the Italian TOPJET F2000 Trophy with Formula 3 will be present. The racing programme is peppered with some of Italy's high-calibre circuit series. With the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, the Mini Challenge, the C.I.Gran Turismo Sprint and the Italy Touring Car Championship (TCR), the organiser has a varied programme to offer.

A total of 13 decisions will be made on the popular motorcycle race circuit, which hosts MotoGP every year and is also known as Ferrari's Formula 1 test track. Among the drivers in the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup, the 5.245 km long circuit is held in high esteem for its characteristics. After the two sprint races at Most Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) was able to extend his lead of the standings. If you want to fight the Swiss for overall victory, Antoine Bottiroli (GFORCE Racing) and Andrea Cola (Monolite Racing) must finish in Mugello ahead of Zeller. It should be the last chance to put Sandro Zeller in danger. It has also become clear that Bottiroli and Cola will be the runners-up this season. Formula 3 is well represented in the driver field with 22 cars in Mugello. Sandro Zeller can handle his favourite position well and has clinched a double victory in Imola and Most in the English week. The extent to which the drivers placed fourth and fourth can put a leg to the leader of the standings will simply have to wait. In any case, Marcel Tobler (Jo Zeller Racing), Kurt Böhlen (Franz Wöss Racing) and Tom Beckhäuser (Franz Wöss Racing) want to stay on the heels of the title defender. In Formula Renault, Nico Gruber (Team Hoffmann Racing) has earned himself a cushion of points after his one-two victory in Bohemia. His team mate Dr.Norbert Groer is currently in second place. Matej Kacovsky (Team HKC Racing) wants to attack again and settle for third place in the standings. In the Formula 3 Trophy classification Florian Münger (Jo Zeller Racing) is in the lead. Behind them three drivers are fighting for second place. Luca Iannaccone (Franz Wöss Racing), Dr. Ralph Pütz (Belicon Motorsport) and Urs Rüttimann (Jo Zeller Racing) are just behind.

Pütz and Zeller in front in the sub-rankings

In the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup 2019 two sub-ratings are integrated. In the RAVENOL Formula 3 Cup Dr.Ralph Pütz is currently leading the table. In 2019, the Swiss Formula drivers will score points in the SWISS Formula 3 Cup, which is supported by HORAG. Here Sandro Zeller is the undisputed front-runner.

On Friday (19.07.) the Drexler Automotive Formula Cup will have free practice at 9.00 a.m. and 11.25 a.m. before qualifying at 5.35 p.m. The 1st run takes place on Saturday (20.07.) at 15.30 o'clock. On Sunday (21.07.) the 2nd race will take place at 9.50 a.m..
