First Formula 3 podiums for Maximilian Malinowski and Andre Petropoulos

At the 6th round of the Drexler Formula Cup not only the fight in the Formula 3 Cup was really exciting. In the Formula 3 Trophy two youngsters attracted attention. Maximilian Malinowski (Franz Wöss Racing) and Andre Petropoulos (Team Hoffmann Racing) both made a strong impression at the Hockenheimring and finished on the podium. Maximilian Malinowski seemed to feel right at home in his first Formula 3 race. The 22-year-old from Kornwestheim finished second twice behind double winner Marcel Tobler (Jo Zeller Racing). Andre Petropoulos also climbed onto the podium in race 1 with a third-place finish. Both youngsters come from karting backgrounds and celebrated their first successes early on. Maximilian Malinowski completed test drives in quite different motorsport categories in the recent past. He drove in the TCR touring car and in the Porsche 991 GT3. The highlight was certainly the test drives in the LMP3 sports car at Hockenheim. "Maximilian has great talent for racing. You can see that he approaches the tasks with a certain routine. I was pleased that it worked so well at his Formula 3 debut. The results speak for themselves," says Franz Wöss. Andre Petropoulos has been in the Formula business for quite some time. Last year, he celebrated his first major success on the circuit by finishing runner-up in the Drexler Formula Cup. Petropoulos was honored among the best motorsport drivers of the ADAC Württemberg last year. An award that is already bearing fruit as motivation for the 20-year-old Formula driver this season. The driver from Sindelfingen feels very much at home in Team Hoffmann Racing and knows the team from his time in Formula Renault. He has met the challenge of competing in Formula 3 well in the races so far. Both Maximilian Malinowski and Andre Petropoulos are likely to cause a stir in the Formula 3 Trophy in the near future.
