The Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup is well prepared before the start of the season in Monza. During the winter break, the Formula 3, Formula Renault and Formula 4 series received plenty of requests from teams and drivers to participate. "In fact, we had about 50 requests from almost all of Europe for our series. This is perfectly normal at this point in time, as the teams want to find out about possible entries in formula racing series in Europe and want planning security where you could consider a commitment," says coordinator Franz Wöss.
Since March, the starting grid for this year's season has taken on clear contours. From today's point of view, the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup has an exciting season in store. The seven events, including four Formula 1 racetracks, will be very busy. More than 12 teams have registered. The list of teams is headed by defending champion Jo Zeller Racing from Switzerland. From Austria three teams are registered: Franz Wöss Racing, LS Performance and Renauer Motorsport. The armed forces from Italy should also not be underestimated. With Puresport, Twister Italia and Monolite Racing, three teams have the honour to compete in the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup. Speedcenter Motorsport (GER), Inter Europol Competition (GER), SV-Racing (IRL) and Belicon Motorsport (GER) have also signed up. In addition, there will be many pilots who will be part of the team as one-man teams. "Altogether we expect participants from 10 nations. Thus the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup underlines its internationality and has not lost its attraction. The focus will definitely be on Formula 3. Formula Renault and Formula 4 have also grown.
