Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup
Every year the MotorSport World Expo attracts an international trade public to the exhibition halls in Cologne. Since 2006, what is probably the largest fair of its kind in Central Europe has been taking place. The Drexler automotive Formel Cup was optimally presented in Cologne at the conditions of its main sponsor Drexler automotive from the Bavarian salt way. Drexler automotive develops, produces and supplies high-quality drive components for racing vehicles, sport and super sports cars to the automobile industry, as well as racing teams and private customers. The company RAVENOL took the fair as an opportunity to present its donated trophies.
This season RAVENOL supports the formula series with its own ranking. The winner of the RAVENOL Formula 3 Cup in 2019 was Prof. Dr. Ralph Pütz. He received the winner's trophy in Cologne beaming with joy. Prof. Dr. Ralph Pütz heads the Institute for Applied Commercial Vehicle Research (BELICON GmbH) at the Landshut University of Applied Sciences. He has been active in motorsport with his Formula 3 racing car for several years and this year, with the support of Franz Wöss Racing, was able to finish the season extremely successfully. BELICON GmbH sees itself as a competent partner of the international vehicle and supplier industry. "We are sought-after partners in the professional motorsport sector. Our customers benefit from our experience, as we ourselves are active in Formula 3 and contribute our activities to teaching at the University of Landshut," says Prof. Dr. Ralph Pütz. In the middle of the presentation at the Drexler Automotive booth there was a rendezvous of renowned and successful racing drivers. For example, DTM record champion Bernd Schneider was a guest who, like the current DTM driver Marco Wittmann, was happy to visit the established manufacturer of drive components. Franz Konrad, who himself successfully drove Formula 3 and won the German Formula 3 Championship in 1983, discussed the current situation and its future in motorsport. Franz Konrad is now successfully at home in international GT sport and his long-time sponsor BIO-CIRCLE has organised a GT test this year for the youngest successful Formula 3 driver under 25 years of age. This honour was bestowed from the Drexler-Automotive Formula 3 Cup on runner-up Andrea Cola (ITA), who completed several laps in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo at the Hockenheimring in mid-November. This GT test was initiated by Drexler Automobile, in particular company boss Herbert Drexler set the course at the beginning of the season. This underlines his commitment to promoting young drivers in motorsport.
