Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup 2020

After a successful season last year, the Drexler Formula Cup for 2020 is in the starting blocks. Season start will be from 15 - 17 May 2020 on the Red Bull Ring. The Formula 1 track in Styria has been able to offer a record starting field in last year's season. With a total of five categories, the Drexler Formula Cup can offer a variety for this season, which will certainly arouse further interest among teams and drivers. From Formula 3, up to Formula Renault and Formula 4, the established classifications are present to make the leap into formula racing or to push the career ladder further with Monoposti.

The focus of the Drexler Formula Cup remains the Formula 3 of the years of construction until 2018, where the Trophy cars are also still integrated, which get their own rating as Formula 3 Trophy up to the Formula 3 years of construction 1992 to 2007. In the Formula Renault everything remains the same. They drive in the Formula Renault 2.0 Cup of the years of manufacture 2000 to 2018. In the Formula 4 not only the current Formula 4 vehicles are entitled to start. Here it is possible to use a Formula ADAC, Formula BMW, Abarth or Gloria. Formula 3 cars with slightly more powerful engines have been newly included in the regulations and are allowed to drive in the Open Formula class. There is also something new in the sub-rankings. The SWISS Formula Cup will be continued with the support of HORAG for the Swiss participants. On the other hand, the Drexler Formula Cup does not advertise an independent classification for the German license participants for 2020. "For the time being, we will suspend this classification this year in order to possibly re-establish it next year," says coordinator Franz Wöss. With the five scoring categories and the flagship Formula 3 Cup, the Drexler Formula 3 Cup offers optimal basic conditions for formula racing, which, as in the past years, should appeal to professionals, semi-professionals or hobby racers. The formula series offers the greatest possible planning security and aims to score further points with its extensive experience. In 2020, the aim should also be to follow in the footsteps of the long-standing Formula 3 tradition, which has written history with Formula 3 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland over the last decades and was largely responsible for the promotion of talent and was able to offer the appropriate platform for precisely these drivers.
