It is certainly no surprise that the Drexler Formula Cup once again travelled to Italy for its annual award ceremony. The co-operation with the Italian ZINOX F2000 Trophy has developed very well in recent years. Coordinator Franz Wöss drew a positive conclusion after the finale in Mugello. "I can say that it was a successful year for the Drexler Formula Cup, which ended with an exciting finale in Tuscany." Franz Wöss repeatedly emphasised the cooperation with the ZINOX F2000 Trophy from Italy. It is worth mentioning the thanks for the commitment of the sponsors and supporters of the formula series, which, as in previous years, was enormously important. Last year, Dallara hosted the annual award ceremony. Last weekend, they met in Verona to crown the winners of the 2023 season. The Corte Pelegrini was the venue for the winners' evening. Verona is known as a city and tourist region at home and abroad. Thousands of tourists are drawn to the region not far from Lake Garda every year. The Villa Corte Pellegrini hides a charm all of its own in a historic residence with a family history dating back to the 12th century. In his speech, Franz Wöss expressed many positive things about the past 2023 season. The Drexler Formula Cup and the ZINOX F2000 Trophy are an integral part of formula racing in Central Europe. Formula 3 in particular continues to have a basis for exciting motorsport here. After dinner with plenty of petrol talk, the winners received their trophies and trophies.

In the Formula 3 Cup, Benjamin Berta (Franz Wöss Racing) won the championship for the first time. The Hungarian finished on the podium fifteen times and took five race wins. With 306 points, Berta underlined his extremely consistent season. Juju Noda (Noda Racing), who fought a duel with defending champion Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) right to the end, secured the runner-up title. The Japanese driver took a total of seven victories and finished runner-up in the final with a total of 262 points. Sandro Zeller, who scored 259 points, finished third in 2023. In the Formula 3 field, the new generation of cars from Dallara made its debut with the Dallara F320. On the engine side, six different manufacturers from the Formula 3 scene were used.
Marcel Tobler (Jo Zeller Racing) took the winner's trophy in the Formula 3 Trophy category, which had a record field of 34 drivers in 2023. The Swiss driver had made a late start to the motorsport year, but then shone with six race wins and scored 150 points. Second place went to Vaclav Safar (GT2 Motorsport), who secured the championship runner-up spot with 100 points with a double victory at the finale in Mugello. Third place went to Italy. Francesco Solfari (Facondini Racing) finished third in the final standings with 97 points.
As expected, the cars from Formula Renault 2.0 set the tone in the newly created Formula 3 Light Cup classification. Fabio Turchetto (A.S.D.Ruote Scoperte) snatched overall victory at the last minute at the finale in Mugello and was able to collect the winner's trophy in Verona. With 138 points, Turchetto won the final standings ahead of defending champion Dr Norbert Groer (Team Hoffmann Racing). The Austrian scored 135.5 points in 2023. Third place also went to Italy. Stefano Palumieri finished third overall with 87 points.
