The 13th season kicks off in Monza

09 January 2025

Drexler Automotive Formula Cup

The Drexler Automotive Formula Cup has undoubtedly established itself as one of the most attractive formula racing series in Europe. Accordingly, a high-calibre calendar can be presented again this year, which includes 4 Formula 1 race tracks alone. The seven race weekends are likely to be highly competitive again. ‘Like last year, we have succeeded in offering a challenging calendar. The fact that Monza, Hockenheim, Mugello and Imola are once again four race tracks that have made their mark on Formula 1 makes us proud,’ says coordinator Franz Wöss. When planning the season, the Drexler Automotive Formula Cup coordinator not only had to pay attention to the financial framework conditions. The partnership with the Zinox F2000 Trophy in Italy also plays a major role in the season planning. At the races in Italy, the Drexler Automotive Formula Cup will race as part of the Italian circuit championships. This not only includes Italy's renowned GT3 scene in the event programme. With the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Formula 4 Italian Championship, other top racing series are also on the programme. A total of 14 races are on the 2025 programme.

The season will kick off on 13 April in Monza. Just over a month later, the Drexler Automotive Formula Cup will do the honours in Mugello (11 May). At the end of July, they will then start in Germany at the Hockenheimring (26 July). The P9 Challenge was already held in Baden in 2024. The Drexler Automotive Formula Cup will then take a break and make its debut at the Slovakia Ring on 24 August. The race track, which opened in 2009, is located 36 kilometres from the capital Bratislava. In recent years, it has hosted the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, the WTCC and various SRO GT racing series, as well as the ADAC GT Masters. Two weeks later (7 September), the Formula series will start in Brno, as is almost a tradition. The entire environment in Brno has been in a mood of optimism again this year. The comeback of MotoGP, which last raced in Brno in 2020, has made this possible. The final autumn will be heralded by the race track in Imola on 28 September. The grand finale will be held in Misano on 26 October 2025.
