Sub-classifications decided early - Sandro Zeller and Dr.Ralph Pütz are new Champions

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup

In the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) not only won the overall Formula 3 standings at the penultimate race in Brno. The Swiss also won the SWISS Formula 3 Cup, which will again be supported by HORAG in 2019. Zeller repeated his victory of the previous year and with 276 points has enough points on his account. Second place at the Hungaroring final between Antoine Bottiroli (GForce Racing) and Kurt Böhlen (Franz Wöss Racing) is likely to be in high form. Marcel Tobler (Jo Zeller Racing) still has purely theoretical chances on the podium. At least third place is still feasible for the Swiss. In the RAVENOL Formula 3 Cup this season Dr.Ralph Pütz (Belicon Motorsport) has impressively asserted himself. With 222 points, he is unassailably in the lead and would not be endangered by Christian Wachter, as well as the two third-placed drivers Christian Zeller and Dr. Ulrich Drechsler, who both scored the same number of points. For Pütz this success means a lot. In 2016 he entered the REMUS Formula Cup with a Reynard 303 VW. This season Dr.Ralph Pütz relied on a Dallara 305 Opel Spiess, which is used in cooperation with Franz Wöss Racing.

Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) prematurely selects himself as champion

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Automotodrom Brno (CZE)

Sandro Zeller won the championship in the 6th round of the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup prematurely and will not be able to catch up at the Hungaroring final. Victory on Sunday and third place three days earlier were enough for the Swiss Formula 3 veteran to extend his points cushion beyond his ability to catch up. At the Masaryk Racing Days in Brno, Tom Beckhäuser had initially shown his great talent in the first race. On the 5,403 km long Grand Prix circuit the Czech managed the 2nd victory of the season. After the pole position (1:53,860 min) Beckhäuser was able to convince also in the rain on Saturday morning.

Sandro Zeller challenged in Brno

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup

Can Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) make everything clear at the 6th round of the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup in Brno (06.-08.9.2019)? The Swiss Formula 3 driver is best advised to answer this question himself. In any case, he comes to the Masaryk Ring with a cushion of 68 points and wants to make a preliminary decision for the title on the Motorcycle World Championship track. Last year Zeller clinched a one-two victory, but the competition has become tougher, a march through is not so easy for the Formula 3 driver from the former Formula 3 European Championship. This became clear at the 5th race in Mugello, Italy. On the Moto-GP circuit north of Florence the Italian Andrea Cola (Monolite Racing) snatched victory from the Swiss in the second race. This was preceded by an overtaking manoeuvre by the Roman, touching Zeller and carrying him into the gravel. Like Antoine Bottirolli (GFORCE Racing), Andrea Cola is one of Sandro Zeller's most persistent chasers, who can always challenge him for victory.
