The Leeb Circuit Trophy gave the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup two eventful days at the Red Bull Ring. In cooperation with the FIA Zone Championship and the Italian TOPJET F2000 Trophy, 37 Formula cars were present in Spielberg and represented the largest field of participants. Sandro Zeller and Tom Beckhäuser won the Drexler Cup in Formula 3. However, the overall victory of the day in Styria went to Paolo Brajnik in both sprint races. Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Red Bull Ring (AUT)

The Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup comes to its second round after Spielberg (17.-19.May). After the season opener in Monza (ITA), Formula 3 with Formula Renault and Formula 4 will stop at the Leeb Rundstrecken Trophy in Styria. In the field of Formula Racers there will also be a fight for points for the FIA Zone Championship and the TOPJET F2000 Trophy. The race programme is full to bursting. With the Renault Clio Cup Central Europe, KIA Platinum Cup and the P9 Challenge, as well as the series of the FIA CEZ for touring cars and GT´s it will go high. A total of 15 decisions are pending.

tomAt the 2nd race weekend of the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup Tom Beckhäuser will start on the Red Bull Ring in the team of Franz Wöss Racing. The 20-year-old junior driver comes from the Czech Republic and lives in Klecany about 10 kilometres north of Prague. Two years ago he was in Germany in the ADAC Formula 4 and caused a sensation there with his 5th overall place in the rookie classification. In the team of Mücke Motorsport Beckhäuser did not only leave a good impression. Right from the start he managed to establish himself at Rookie´s In 2018 he started again in Formula 4. This time the Czech was drawn to the Formula 4 UAE where he started for US Racing. In spring this year Beckhäuser completed 2 -3 races in the Asian Formula 3. With the support of his sponsor Camp David he will drive some selected races this season in the FIA CEZ and in the Drexler-Automobile Formula Cup in the team of Franz Wöss Racing. A taste of the talent was delivered in April at the FIA CEZ weekend on the Hungaroring. In his F3 Dallara 308 Opel Spies Beckhäuser clinched a race victory in the first race and only routine driver Paolo Brajnik (ITA) had to admit defeat in the second race. "Tom Beckhäuser learned incredibly fast. You can already see his experience in the formula car. The year in the German Formula 4 has shaped him and also encouraged him to offer himself for higher tasks. In Formula 3, you can count on him because his learning process was incredibly fast," says team boss Franz Wöss.

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup

When the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup sets up its tents at the Leeb Rundstrecken Trophy from May 17th to 19th, it won't only be Formula 3 or Formula Renault that are going to be a big event in the formula field. For two young hot spurs, the first appearance on the Formula 1 circuit of the Red Bull Ring will be a reality. We are talking about Marius Morosan (Renauer Motorsport) and Stefan Fürtbauer (Franz Wöss Racing).
