Hungaroring replaces Imola

Drexler - Automotive Formula Cup
In this year's calendar for the Drexler Formula Cup, another date correction is necessary. The race in Imola (ITA) scheduled for mid-July (16.-18.07.21) has been cancelled by the organiser. This decision was made at short notice and we are happy that we will be able to add a replacement date for the Imola event to the calendar at the beginning of October", says coordinator Franz Wöss. Due to this decision, the Drexler Formula Cup will now go into the summer break before it continues with the 5th round of the formula series in Brno from 03-05.09.21.

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Spa Francorchamps (BEL)
There was no match for the more powerful Formula 3 Open cars on the legendary Ardennes rollercoaster at Spa. Alesandro Bracalende took the pole position on Friday with a 2:16.525 min. After the start of the first race, the Dallara driver left the field early to take a commanding start-finish victory. Behind the Italian, Vladimir Netusil (Effective Racing) finished second with a razor-thin lead. With great effort, he was able to relegate Andrea Benalli to third place. The Formula 3 Open cars showed their performance advantage especially on the straights.

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Spa Francorchamps (BEL)
The Drexler Formula Cup comes to Spa Francorchamps for its 4th round next weekend (25-27.06.2021). 2017 was the last time the event was held in the Ardennes under the banner of the REMUS Formula Cup. "It's almost a good tradition that we race at the Spa Summer Classic. Of course, we are looking forward to top-class duels on the Ardennes rollercoaster," says coordinator Franz Wöss. The 7.004-kilometre Formula 1 circuit has always been considered a special attraction. More than 30 Formula cars are expected. Drivers from 10 nations will be there to provide excitement in both sprint races. How could it be otherwise, Formula 3 will be very strongly represented.

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Salzburgring (AUT)
At the 3rd round of the Drexler Formula Cup on the ultra-fast Salzburgring, there was a double victory in each of the four categories. In both races, Vladimir Netusil (Effective Racing) beat the competition with the more powerful Dallara and celebrated a commanding success. As expected, the Czech had dominated the qualifying and set the fastest time with 1:18.964 minutes. Stefan Fürtbauer (Franz Wöss Racing) fought bravely and once again showed his talent in Formula 3. For a long time he stayed within striking distance of Netusil in both races, who, however, was able to make up metres in every lap on the long uphill passage. In Formula 3, Fürtbauer scored his first double win this year, which should give the young Austrian a further boost.
